On Saturday, June 30th, 2018 demonstrators gathered in Daley Plaza, Chicago, Illinois to protest the separation of immigrant families.  According to Marj Halpern over 60,000 people were in attendance.

I was in the crowd with my camera documenting the event.  When I arrived at 9:30am there were already a significant number of people gathering.  By 11am people were overflowing into Washington Street at the South of Daley Plaza.  At around 12:10pm people began marching from Daley Plaza down Clark Street to ICE Headquarters located at the corner of Congress Parkway & Clark Street.  I followed the group as they marched, and stopped to take photographs at several points.  Police had closed the streets along the route.  The event seemed very well organized.  Protesters were well behaved.  The there was a large police presence but I did not observe any incidents between protesters and the police.  By 2:30pm the crowd at Daley Plaza had dwindled and I departed.
